Hi there, I’m Rachel! I'm a strategic planning whiz, operations director, systems analyst, bookkeeper, & comptroller. I'm also a fashion designer, art director, eCommerce expert, and stylist extraordinaire. Just about a year ago, I sold a successful plus size fashion retail business that I bought in 2012, and now I'm a statewide operations director for an advocacy-based non-profit. I also have a consulting business that helps mentor small businesses in areas of production, finance, and systems. I've found that years of working in non-profits have profoundly affected the way I ran a for-profit business and vice versa.
Over the last decade, I have consulted in production and wholesaling of a handful of ready-to-wear lines for other designers and companies, have amassed technical & graphic design experience, am an intermediate level sewer and pattern maker, and have produced 5 plus size collections of my own under the label Sweetooth Couture (2009-2012.) I am also a personal stylist, shoot stylist, and certified closet auditor & personal shopper with a passion for helping folks develop a sense of style for their body, their brand, or their home.
My passions are home decorating, thrifting amazing vintage pieces (clothing or furniture), cooking, taking photos, finding the perfect outfit for any occasion, and bringing style to any body (not just anybody, ANY BODY).
